Everest Base Camp Trek
Everest Base Camp trek has drawn adventurers since MountEverest was first surveyed in the late 19th century. Mt Everest known as 'Sagarmatha'in Nepal and 'Chomolungma' in Tibet is popular dream destination among alladventure lovers. Everest Base Camp trekking is slightly demanding and requiresa fair level of fitness before you begin. Most of the trail lies at the altitudeover 3 000m, it is also essential that you trek slowly to avoid the possibilityof AMS.The trek starts from Kathmandu after a short 35 minutesflight to the Tenzing-Hilary airport at Lukla (2642m). After the scenic mountainflight, the trek start through Sherpa villages and farmlands gradually rises toNamche Bazaar (3440m.) where few nights spend for acclimatization (to be familiarwith altitude).  During the rest days, weexplore the large Sherpa village at Khumjung and experience their lifestyle, beliefs, skills and warmth. The Prayer flags, Chortens, Mani walls andMonasteries justify to the importance of Buddhism in their lives throughout thewilderness. Everest Base Camp (EBC) trek beyond Namche continues with severalups and downs and the trail continues to higher altitude where the night-timetemperatures down to zero. You will get opportunity to explore the alpine vegetation. Finally, the one way trekking destination ends at the base camp of Everest orclimbing the Kalapathar hill. Staying in the lodges and capturing the world'shighest towering peaks, we hike back to Lukla and fly back to Kathmandu.Everest Base Camp Trek popularly known as EBC trekking ispossible all most all year around but the best season for this trek is springand autumn.
