Find in this ring the sites of readers and writers of fiction and nonfiction related to crime, suspense, mystery, thrillers, or romantic suspense, all to do with murder. Pictured: an anonymous portraya; of the real-life murder of the Ukrainian/Russian Prince Yaropolk (born possibly June 11 some year between 958 and 960 CE, died 980), who ruled Kiev from 972 until he was ambushed and killed by Varangian mercenaries hired by his half-brother, Vladimir, who thus grabbed and held the throne. Truth is stranger than fiction, but fiction is cool too! Fortunately or unfortunately, this real-life bit of grue has been "revised" a bit so you may encounter fictional versions as well (albeit probably not in this WebRing): for example, the ballet "Passions." On the NavBar: Laraine Day screams bloody murder in Alfred Hitchcock's 1940 film,"Foreign Correspondent."
